Description: I re-worked the the hack and made it look tons better and use the codes in UBB6 like $TBT and TBB
unlike before. Same as before it put and like to a Pop-up ICQ Pager for a person if that person has his ICQ number enter in his/her profile. If the person is not on ICQ at the time he/she will get the page when he/she gets on ICQ. The user will get the page right after you send it if he is on.

Screenshot of Pager:

Demo of Pop-up: http://carnagesub.hypermart.net/cgi-bin/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000001

Download: http://carnagesub.hypermart.net/icq1-5.zip

If no one has any problems this should be able to head to the finshed forum unless I did something wrong.
**have it on hypermart till my server gets up or I change servers**

just an idea...
instead of you have to fill all the username and e-mail address, could you put auto fill? or permanent fill.
I think it's better look like that b'cuz it will prevent from spamming.
People who's unregistered/un-login cannot send a web-page (same thing when we try to posting/reply we have to login first)
and also if the user wants his e-mail address to be hidden, instead of by putting an e-mail, it give an information from the forum website.

hope my idea is clear enough, I'll be glad to explain more.

anyway, it's really a good hack laugh

i did it like this because it was how the one for 5.x was and I am still learning perl so i cannot deal with the cookies and what not that the login deals with also I tihk it is easier this was becuase it saves time and I would hate having to put in my username and password every time I wanted to send someone a message. and also this allows people who are not registered to icq you, there could be a guest on the page wanting to ask the webmaster a question or something and might not want to register.

Great job! But is it possible to change the file to which you're redirected after message has been sent? It doesn't look that good when the ICQ homepage opens up in the customized window you've created. Apart from that, it's a good hack! smile

I do not belive you can because it uses ICQ's webpannel script and is on their server so there is no way to change it.
also melder you probly could will have to look at some javascript and catch up on it but i beleve you can. ClanKiller I am not sure what is going wrong are you sure that you included all of the hack? or have other people had this problem.

Cause of Leptians' idea...

Why don't you make a frame set with one frame that is nearly invisible and the other one that shows a "successful-sended message"? Think you can do it also with IFrames, but then it wouldn't work with Netscape......

first i want to say that all of you who sent me a page i got it(just got on icq i keep forgeting my password so i wrote it down this time) and second I wanted to say if you wanted me to make it where it is a real time messaging between you and the person on ICQ where he could send you a message right back without having to go to the UBB or e-mail you, I would do that and maybe add in the CP where you could pick between what I have now and that
