Here's an example of what the user list it prints out looks like (this is with just a couple of people logged into the site, it get's a lot worse with more activity).

I just checked my Recent Visitors (After installing the WOL Hack) and the users show the same way in WOL - Repeatedly. Is this a bug in PNTF that's affecting IM?

Great! I take it the only change was in ubb_im.cgi? Works wonderful now with just the changes in that file

Has anyone else experienced issues with the stock PNTF showing the same users repeatedly?

1. yes

2. yes, that's why there was this problem in IM hack.

I redownloaded the zip from your hack pages but i didn't have any ubb_im.cgi

in the previous version ?!?

are you referring to ubb_msg.cgi instead ?

Thank you

Inka

Code
[/code]Replace with:

[code]
Hope it meets your standards, im quite new to this....

Remember this works BEST if you have your page REFRESHed via Meta for all u AFK nutz!

Working demo at:

http://www.nakcc.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

Now if only they fix the RV bug with the 127316213 Guests bug....[/b]
And if the same person sends 2 IMs, the second one 'overwrites' the first one, doesn't it? And I suggest you to use server time in Perl...

I'm wondering why in the whole 11 pages, nobody reported about a bug that was since the beginning: users couldn't uncheck 'disable'.

In the updated version, users can do it, and users that disabled IM aren't shown in the list. Re-upload ubb_msg.cgi

NOTE: I think this hack is finished, please test it to find bugs smile

I have another 'idea' for a problem: it looks like an ad, so:
1. the users might automatically close it.
2. the ad-blocker might disable it.

NM, this works great!

However, I saw screenshots in this post of the IM system, and looks like a real IM, instead of Message Alerts. How do I get that?

Raichu

I made your modifications to the java script. I love the AIM look much better than the alert box.

Problem I have now is that I get both. I tried to find the error but it's beyond my knowledge.

I am using 6.3.0

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I'm having a few problems with this hack.

I installed it and then sent a test message to myself, and clicked forum home...and the message popped up as it was supposed to.

Then I tried to IM a member and he tried to IM me but it didn't work. I think tried to IM myself and it didn't work. I quite like Raichu's modification so I added that afterwards and it STILL didn't work.

I think I hacked everything all right because it worked in the first place. Any help?

This hack is strange. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
And there is a "bug", if you got the Chat-Mod installed. This line in ubb_chat.cgi is called also, when you are sending an IM:

I'm trying to install this hack on UBB 6.2.1.3, and it seems to be looking for code in public_common.pl that just isn't there...

# Forum Home
push(@items, qq($vars_wordlets{forum_home_link}));

Any clues what i should do? at first i though i might have installed a 6.3 version by mistake, but double-checking let me know that i did in fact have the 6.2 copy.
