Do I have to have php to run this? I noticed it asks for ultimatebb.php and I don't use that. I can't run php.

No Rinkrat, it doesn't require PHP. The command is in PHP because I want it to ALSO work in PHP My board also doesn't use UBBAccel.

Well LK, as far as I can tell it's working 100 percent on my board. I'm going to put it on the green board next.

Oops, I accidently forgot to change $ThisHTML to $thisvar somewhere. Please rehack ubb_lib_files.cgi. Also, ultimatebb.php's instructions are more efficient, and ubb_lib.cgi's ones work with 6.2.0 br 1.2

Anyone want to post a 6.1 zip? It would really save me some time.

Just do it. Use the ZIP, follow LK's directions on the first page, and if you have the chat hack installed too, comment out the lines I did (a few posts up)..and don't forget to replace user_profile with msg_profile in ubb_chat.cgi to fix chat invitations.

Please inform the board administration of this error so that they may fix the problem. Thank you!

Can this be modified easily so that admins and mods can IM people when they are invisible to who's online?

Probally can xpert, i'll look into it seeing i'm bored and have just been playing around with it for the last half an hour. BTW I also fixed the black part on the table and stuff.

http://www.ultanime.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=msg

I'm trying to think of some more stuff to add to make it look nicer.

XPerT, your board has:
[tab]

But my (and the ZIPped) file has:

So a tab was added and "colspan="2"" was removed.. Did you change it? Also, you're not using the most updated file - I told you (and everyone else) to get the updated zip and use the updated ubb_msg + ubb_lib_files.cgi instructions + maybe something else

Nope, I didn't change that. I just added the colspan, but MEW had the same colspan missing.

I'll check the update right now.

Well, I installed this hack and it works great. My only question is this: Is there a way to make the im a pop-up window like on aim where its real-time and can reply back and forth on the spot? I know this question has been asked but I didnt see any answers to it. Thanks in advance.

Great hack!

LK,

Problem I have.

I'm using this on a 6.1.0.3.

I followed the instructions on the front page.

When clicking the Im link, I get:

FYI: Recent Visitors feature, which is needed for messages, is not enabled.

What do I do?

Hey all,

I'm running 6.1.0.3 and have installed and rehacked a couple times.

I get the im link, it looks like we are msging each other and even says sent but no one gets any messages.

I did use the fix on page 1. I'm woundering that since I am running 6.1.0.3 is there anything I have to do to ubb_lib_files.cgi or just leave it alone.

Thanks

Rainner

All I did for 6.1.0.4 was the changes on the first page of this thread. It works fine for me.

Hi XPerT

Did you have to edit any part of ubb_lib_files.cgi?

Thanks

LK,

My mistake, I ment to say ubb_lib.cgi not ubb_lib_files.cgi.

The reason I ask is that when I go to edit ubb_lib.cgi and I am suppose to find:

# Forum Home
push(@items, qq($vars_wordlets{forum_home_link} );

It dosn't exist and the only string that I can find in ubb_lib.cgi that has any of the data in it is:

$MainButtons = qq!
$MyProfileLink $ifmyreg $RegisterLink $ifregsearch $SearchLink $ifsearchrest $vars_wordlets{faq_link} | $vars_wordlets_mods{ML_memberlist_link} | $vars_wordlets{forum_home_link}

Any help on this one would be really appreciated,

Thanks

Rainner

Just copy this code and replace your $MainButtons with it, you will then have the im link after your forum home link. This should work with no problem.

quote:
$MainButtons = qq!
$MyProfileLink $ifmyreg $RegisterLink $ifregsearch $SearchLink $ifsearchrest $vars_wordlets{faq_link} | $vars_wordlets_mods{ML_memberlist_link} | $vars_wordlets{forum_home_link} | $vars_wordlets_im{im_link}
