i tried to install the sticky threads hack by Dave Downin , i get this error after uploading the modified files , since i dunno much about these things , could somebody tell me whats wrong ?

syntax error at /home/fbto/cgi-bin/ubb_library.pl line 1932, near "} else" Missing right bracket at /home/fbto/cgi-bin/ubb_library.pl line 2423, at end of line syntax error at /home/fbto/cgi-bin/ubb_library.pl line 2423, at EOF

Re-hack ubb_libary.pl. You made a mistake while coding that file.

if you are using 5.47d you need to get the updated version of this hack that fixes this problem.

i got the version from the database right here , that aint the latest version ? its from 11-30-00

The hacks in the UBBDev database are all final ones, They don't put Beta hacks in the Database.

Incase this still isn't working for you (and I hope you still linger), this is what you need to fix:

Open up UBB_LIBRARY.PL

Search for the new line of code you added:


See the very last }

Add another one so you have } }

That will fix your problem. It had nothing to do with you and installing it wrong (as someone suggested an easy way out from helping you , it had to do with the code.
