http://www.infopop.com/ubb_support/support_ubb_transfer.html here states that you need to rerun the initial setup again and not to login using an exisitng admin name, but to ceate a new one to setup the board on the new server.

make sure you have uploaded the files in ASCII/Binary mode, and try to chmod it via FTP (Cuteftp has this function)

are you sure you have uploaded *.cgi and *.pl in ascii mode and the *.gif and whatever in binary?

try..

chmod 777 members dir
chmod 777 all files in members dir
chmod 755 all files in cgi-bin
chmod 777 variables vars_*
chmod 777 Templates *.pl
chmod 777 noncgi files

do you have ICQ ? its faster to talk online..

do: ls -la *
on members directory and see if all member files are with permissions "-rwxrwxrwx"

don't now more what it can be.. maybe someone else can help you. Once more time, see if you have uploaded all files in ASCII except *.gif and *.jpg (binary)

look for membertotal.cgi in ur members directory and change it to however many members you have. Also you may want to check your last_member.cgi to make sure its saying the last member's number. So if you have exactly 2000 members (just an example) it should say 00002000 in ur last_number.cgi.
