I need source to retrieve a cookie expiration date/time - the cookies will be generated by UBB6. Need to see an example of Perl source using, say, ubber for example.

I can read a cookie's value fine, but I can't figure out how to specifically retreive the expiration data. Thanks.

I tried:
$expires=cookie(-expires=>{"ubber$vars_config{Cookie_Number}"});

And it always spits out "8" which aint exactly right, heh. This is driving me nuts, any help would be appreciated.

Browsers only send the cookie name and value to the server.

The only way of getting the expiration date is if you include the date in the cookie value when setting the cookie.

I can do it that way, and probably ultimately will. But what confounds me is I think UBB uses CGI.pm for cookie management and thought there was a way to pull the expiration. You can also recover path, domain attributes also based on my recollecton but I just could not get it to work. Maybe I am just nuts thinking there is a simple command to do this instead of storing time as a cookie.

Can anyone else confirm?
