Finally UBB 6 was revealed officially today and the feature list was announced.

UBB 6 uses "wordlets", which will allow extremely easy translations of the UBB into any language, including German... Basically, wordlets are standardized language that is referenced throughout the ubb from one language file. The English word "Password" is given a reference, and everytime the word "Password" is needed, its reference is called. You can see how easy it will be to go down the list of referenced words/ sentences, and translate the word/ words into any language needed. Everytime your ubb needs that word, your German translation of it will be called... no more painstaking translation of every file in the ubb, no more losing your translation every time you upgrade, you will always be able to have the latest ubb version, only updating your translated "wordlet" file if changes are made to that file in general.

We will work with your German moderators in upgrading current modifications to using these "wordlets" so you will always be able to have the latest versions of modifications as well...
