Mine is (as always)
http://tree.corthell.info/ (and http://tree.corthell.net/)

I've compiled all the information that my great aunt compiled when she became a mormon; additionally i've been doing some work with the reports section wherein trying to get it to list all birthdays in the db via month when requested which will coherse others into wanting info added so they can easily update calendars wink ...

Took a while; I don't like the shading differance between the two tables (ones fairly dark whereas the other is light); I'll probably pl,y with the images eventually.

I now get to (eventually again) work on the layout of the script itself (other than just the index)

A notice was sent out today for a patch of TNG which patches an issue where users could send mail through your site without the normal permissions

Glorious 6.0 announcement recieved, though it's a $12 upgrade fee hehe... I'll probably have some spare cash next month, not entirely sure, things are tight right now smirk...

5.1.4 came out in June:
Quote:
1. True dates (calculated on import) were getting zeros for the day of the month (fixed).
2. On the individual page, the blank line at the end of the list of citations was removed, and the indent style was adjusted to work better with both IE and Firefox.
3. Users who were not assigned to a tree and who did not have rights to see living data were getting a database error (fixed).
4. Notes were sometimes being sorted incorrectly (fixed).
5. The GEDCOM importer was always skipping the line immediately following "1 SOUR" (fixed).
6. The GEDCOM exporter was outputting "1 CONT" when it should have been outputting "2 CONT" (fixed).
7. The GEDCOM exporter was outputting blank lines in some cases (fixed).
8. Special characters in an image file name would not allow that image to be previewed in Add New/Edit Photos (fixed).
9. HTML validation improved in some spots.
10. Custom Event Type definitions were being misidentified in the importer when the type description was longer than one line (fixed).
11. Headstones that were linked directly to a cemetery were still being shown with the rest of the headstones for that cemetery, instead of just at the top of the page (fixed).
12. Children of single parents were being orphaned when the parent was merged with another individual (fixed).
13. Source notes were being lost on export (fixed).
14. Events with no data (ie, just a "Y") were being lost on export (fixed).
15. The "tentative edit" window was displaying "Living" instead of the subject's name, even if the user had living rights (fixed).
16. The Merge routine was incorrectly displaying "Sealed to Parents (LDS)" when it should have said "Sealed to Spouse (LDS)" (fixed).
17. The Merge routine was not displaying the "Baptism (LDS)" field (fixed).
18. Default photo thumbnails were not being displayed for living individuals if "Show Living Data" was set to "Always" (fixed).
19. Adding a new State/Province/Shire/Country in browsers other than IE no longer requires a refresh in order to see the newly added item (fixed).
20. Users with edit rights for a specific branch could edit individuals assigned to other branches if "Show Living Data" was set to "Always" (fixed).
21. Anti-spam measures improved regarding the "Suggest" feature.

And I can get it free with my v5 license so i'll probably just upgrade to that for now...

So many things that I want to play with frown...

THis is kinda sad, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to stay with TNG... I just upgraded the server to PHP5/MySQL5 (which are now pretty much standards) and TNG doesn't run on it (the user lookup dies)...

I'm pretty confident and sure I can upgrade the files myself, and may give it a go... likely Darrin didn't code for register globals to be off, but I sent him an email to hear his thoughts on it...

If you do it, post it in their forum so it will be adopted by their main support guys... that usually helps darrin get it into the base code smile

yeh I emailed hm last night, haven't gotten to check that email today yet though; I will likely pay for the upgrade to the latest build then hack in some php5/reg globals off support (honestly, it really ins't that hard).

One thing to keep in mind is that, from what i hear, safemode and registerglobals won't be an option in PHP6, so cleaning them up in php5 should be a priority for programmers...

Just read Darrin's email, he said that there are indeed issues with TNG running in PHP5, but he's relatively sure that they've all been fixed with TNG6... I'll test it out when i have the $ to upgrade.

Well, from whati can tell, v6 works fine in PHP5/MySQL5; I'll be doing some testing within the next few days.

It does smile

Ate lunch with a physician today and she told me of something she's done recently - she submitted her blood for a mitochondrial DNA test through:

http://www.familytreedna.com

You can trace your ancestral history through your bloodlines - exactly, no hearsay, no guessing... you can trace through your mother's line if you are female, or if you are male, through your mother's or father's line. Looks really cool, I think I'll join one of the surname projects and give it a try. Would be very cool to know your bloodline back for hundreds and hundreds of years thumbsup

You don't have to know your father - a 'y' dna match would give you your bloodline through your father, his father, his father, his father, his father, and so on...
