I just got back from the "Open House" thingy for the Texans. I gotta say, that stadium is freakin sweet! The seats all have cupholders, this is the first time I've ever seen those at a stadium before. And it's huge too! Very clean, lots of seating, tons of food options, etc. My only beef with it is the pizza...

At Minute Maid Park (Astros, for you non-Texas people), the pizza is DiGiorno, quite big and really really tasty... best ball-park pizza I've ever had. So I get to Reliant Stadium (Texans), and I expect pizza that's as good or better than MMP, since it is a bigger, newer stadium and all. And when I got there, Pappa John's is doing the pizza, so my expectations were reinforced. Then I actually got my pizza, and CRAP! They're small and hard and bleh.

Oh well, there are only 10 home games this year, so the chances of me actually being here when my aunt gets the tickets from work are little to none. But if you ever find yourself on the inside of Reliant Stadium and hungry, be sure to get a hot dog or a baked potato instead of pizza. wink

argghhh.. missed this due to a triple header in softball last night frown

First game is this Saturday! laugh

For all you long-time football fans, what do you recommend for tailgating prior to the game? It being Texas and probably hot &/or raining this Saturday, I am guessing cold drinks and something easy to prepare... hmmm... there's a Hooters a couple miles away, but that just ain't the same wink

Today is the first day that I noticed how many of you are from Texas. Where are y'all from?

I was born in Odessa, in West Texas. I've lived in L.A. pretty much all my life though - I moved here when I was 3. I still have family out in Odessa though, and I'll be visiting in October.
