I dont really keep an eye on the going rates for web design etc (since I'm not really company or whatever), and I've found practically everything I want done can be done myself with the aid of tutorials etc... but isn't $200 USD for a logo and one page design very expensive??

I was looking at some 2nd world ISP websites recently, and they were charging like £150 for 10 pages and images and stuff, and I remember laughing to myself, thinking, it would take me all of 60 mins to learn from the web what they would be charging so much for.

Those who've posted know Matt (all of us so far are staff here) and the kinda work he does... we wouldn't say yes if we didn't think we weren't getting a good deal.

Logo design is your identity on the web. People can't touch physical products before they buy, so your logo must communicate. There's a difference between a logo made for free at flamingtext.com and services that I provide.

And you're right, $200 isn't the going rate. The going rate is about $90/hr. for standard graphic design.
