will a feature like "latest posts" enhance your site? make things easier for your members? or no noticeable difference?

personally, its something i love and have wanted for quite some time. i enjoyed the feature in the earlier 5.45 days of ubb and sorely missed it in the 6.x years

its a feature i use(d) all the time.

however... will my other members get much use of it? i dont think any of them notice such things (and certainly dont understand the pain that goes into creating'em! )

the 'latest post'-feature is an quite important thing due the fact that we do have so many new posts a day and this feature is a quite easy-2-use overview-enhancement and was one of the most important things on ubb5.x - our users loved to use these feature to get a quick overview about what's going on without many clicks and browsing thru the complete board which takes time and server-load as well as traffic...

well, maybe i'm gonna try to build a lil' modification out of the content-island but right now we move again with our server and we're offline, so first i hope that the server-migration will have no negative effects, afterall i hope to see very soon the necesarssy 'message icon drop down hack' for 6.4 and then i'd love to upgrade to 6.4 ... let's wait'n see :-)
