I decided not to do a "beyond compare" upgrade since I had done 4 in a row and the board was sketchy. I did a regular upgrade and I have to say that Charles and the other devs did a fantastic job. I only add the hacks that I consider essential and gave it a new color and look. All comments are welcome of course as are bug reports.

Click here and let me know what you think.

It's very nice, the new background and GFX give it a much better look. laugh

Love the colors and the clean look of the entire site smile You might adjust the alignment/spacing of the <hr> below the "topics posts last post " table and above the forum titles, it just seems a bit 'off' smile

hmmmm... some links turn green and some don't turn any color smile

Very nice.

I would update/change the hover colors to match the new colors. As previously stated, some are the old green, and some don't have a color change.

I also would go with the darker background on your header buttons

I had thought about the hover color but of course turned right around and forgot about it again. I obviously have a lot of work left to do but It's nice to be back in UBB land again.

I like the new header image. Muy cool.

Have you considered maybe moving the PNTF into your login/welcome/info box. Would free up some real-estate.

Also might look cool if your header was in a frame, that way you would see it when scrolling down.

I'm playing with a lot of different ideas including changing the black to two alternating colors. The members like their custom font colors and I would have to take them away to use other colors. Thanks for the comments, I always worry about what people are going to think when I change things.

How do you get the borders on all of the tables like that? Edit the code for all of it? or is there some way to load a template with borders?

thanks,
Mirek

I modified $TBB and $TBT in public_common.pl to add the graphics then modified the individual templates to clean things up.

you can get started with that by checking the 'forum design integration' (templates) forum, there's a topic in there about seperating categories smile
