Hey guys, here's a sneak peek at my newest project. There is one member and maybe 5 posts but you can get a general idea of the effect I'm going for.

I wanted a totally unique UBB and I think I'm on the right track. Only the summary page has a semi finished look to it and the colors and graphics aren't set.

I stumbled on a little trick that is going to make my life a lot easier in UBB terms. All I need to do now is figure out what I'm going to use that site for.

The colors aren't set yet, I'm building the structure first then I'll decide on the colors and final graphics...

wo0t, got some dropshadows now...any suggestions for colors from the UBB gurus?

Forum Summary:
I don't like top boxes, they just take too much room while they could've taken only 2 lines; instead of "Check PM's in your profile", you could just add the pm hack, made by jordo. I don't like this 'R' at the bottom, maybe you should do what flare did - "You last visited: XXXXXXXXXXXXX [mark all read]". Also, the icon legend box has en empty cell at the right.

Topic Page:
This "profile|edit|quote|message|email" thing should NEVER be in the right cell - it takes lots of space from the message body while near "posted April........." there is an empty space. You should take advantage of all empty space, and leave as much width as possible for the message body..

Anything I didn't mention is either nice or too small for me to see.

Great comments...thanks, I have a long way to go with that site obviously. It's more a testing ground that happens to be licensed so I'd like to eventually make it a production site.

Looking awesome! Basically, I would use a header instead of a table at the top. Like LK mentioned, the icon legend has a empty cell to the right. But I kinda like the "R" button.

There are some graphics built for the header already. I probably opened it for viewing too early but I was in need of some ideas. To tell you the truth, the template structure is nearly stock "JC" but I wanted to get the Tables wrapped in gfx. That's why the board has one member and 6 posts. I do plan on using it in production though.

Edit: it just got a hell of a facelift....I may have to make this modular and make the UBB skinnable like winamp..

It's being changed daily. I think I found the colors I want to use so now it's back to template hacking. bit by bit.
