For something fun for the next few days, we are gonna have a graphics contest for the banner ad you see at the top of our UBB.

Everyone is eligible to enter, it must be <22k, between 550x55 and 600x60, and use the color scheme found in our present design. The deadline for entry is 10:00AM CST Wednesday 12-06-2000. Please post in the graphics forum your entry, or in this thread.

We will use atom911's voting script from Midnight that night until midnight the next night to allow everyone possible to vote on their favorite. You will prolly merit higher votes if the design takes into consideration the upcoming holidays... All users will get one vote to vote for their favorite design, with the three admins here, Deb, Digital Boy, and I having veto power over the final results in case someone like "Hank the angry drunken dwarf" wins...

The top 7 entrants will get their banner rotated on this site thru January 1, 2001.

Good luck, we will have some more interesting contests in the near future, and tomorrow the second place finisher from this month's member spotlight will have their interview posted... a very nice site, to be sure.

2fujin, yeah, seems so ... but try to have a look @ just ONE of these; a bunch of graphics which include the same type of gfx-effect always seems to be kinda strange - i did all of the banner just in a few minutes, so - well... i won't appreciate feedback (*evilgrin*), :-)

The banners are finally up, you can begin here --> click me! <--

Click on the Banners link and get a cup of coffee, there's 38 banners there and they will take a while to download if you are on a dial-up... You get one vote, so be sure and go through the whole list, I put the holiday banners up top, and the rest in no particular order. I apologize, 4 were eliminated for being over the size/ weight limit.

Be sure and check the whole list, some very nice ones are at the bottom, including syinide's excellent contribution. Top 7 will be rotated throughout the site thru January 1, 2001.
