Does anyone know where I can find info on how to create/convert an .ico file? Even though the UBB comes with one, it just looks like the default icon, but I have seen a couple in use (cgi-resources.com uses one).

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, IE 5.5 can display an icon (instead of the default one) next to your URL in the address bar, and also in Favorites. Not very practical, but cool.

I have a Photoshop plugin that allows you to save images in both Icon and Cursor formats. I can send you that, if you like. If you don't want that, there are also several programs that are made with the sole purpose of creating icons and stuff; try searching download.com or something, maybe.

I use a little Icon creation program called Microangelo 98 although they have a newer version out this does me fine it also imports BMP files so i simple create an image resample the size of the whole image to about 32x32 or 16x16 and then import it in and output to an icon

Usefull little tool as it allows you to design animated Icons and flat icon and also allows the use of text to be added

Well, I just checked the readme, and redistribution is allowed, provided you email the author (whoops, I haven't been doing that; oh well.....). I would think that, if Deb emailed the author and got his permission, it would be totally OK to add it to the database. Deb, if you're interested, I can send you the file.
