I've looked through the threads and I haven't seen any mention of a who's online hack for ubb v6 b7.x. Is there anyone developing one, or is there any place to get it. I want to make sure I can get this hack before I upgrade from ubb 5.x.

There is no point in installing it yet, because every time you upgrade to the newest beta, you will have to re-install the hack.

That will be a pain in the rear, considering they have released 9 new beta's in the last 15 days.

This is sort of a stupid question, but does Infopop have a general idea when UBB6 will be out of Beta. I'd hate to wait for like a month or whatever to install hacks.

Who's online will be released as soon as all the bugs are worked out of it.

Yes there is a beta you can view at my site http://www.gamerzparadize.com/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi but you can only look not have, because it is not 100% bug free yet.

When will it be available? It can hardly still expect.

It looks pretty simplified from the ubb5.x version. Is it going to have that seperate script to show where they are in the ubb?

Do you have a " Who`s Online " Mod?

I'd like the same features like the Who's Online from the UBB5.xx, where i can see the On-Line Users on the main-page and on a seperate page the datails where they usere are.

Bug me via email or ICQ when I get back home (tomorrow) and I'll let you test beta 2 if you want.

Hey Borg in Beta 2 did you fix the bug that displays the name more than one time and the one that displays your registered name instead of your publicaly displayed name? and also what is your ICQ number?

Who told anyone i was working on it? I was just working on a simplified version as you can tell.

I know from watching my logs and reading e mails from my members, that my board not having whos online is hurting my board traffic.
My members say it dosent feel like there in the same place without it.........

Does this Hack involve hacking alot of files It seems to be working on the boards That are testing it I would love to take a look at the docs.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a WORKING EFFICIENT version before we all start pulling it pieces? Please, I know a lot of people are desperate for this script, but I am working on it, and it's not ready yet. At the moment, it basically eradicates the index page cache. I'll release it to a few people the weekend after next (*hopefully* with the auto-installer working). If your communit is falling apart because of needing this hack, then you should really have thought harder before jumping on the UBB 6 bandwagon. Things aren't stable or reliable on the cutting edge, so I'm afraid you'll just have to deal with it.

Frankly, if it weren't for everyone whining 24/7 over email, I'd have waited til UBB 6 went out of beta before releasing it at all. There is so little point hacking merrily at your boards now.

Also, please don't pester the few people I gave the first beta to for it. I made some nasty threats to them that I'm not afraid to carry out if they violate our non-distribution agreement. *evil glare, attatude due to hours of revision and lack of coffee today*

I would recommend waiting Borg until v6 is outta beta before releasing it.. IP has stated they still have a couple of big bugs to squash, and a buncha little ones. Your code might have to change dramatically in the next couple of weeks to get it to work.

Besides, all the real modifications are being released after final v6 code is out.

It's cool and all, but chill people. Also, every time I look at the test forums with the Who's Online, it's not working right, because I always see a couple members listed twice. For example, right now at 411Hype, this is what it reads:

Notice that "Joey Bootlegg" is listed 3 times, and "~LosT LoGiK~" is listed 2 times.

So, it's not even working, why would you want it?

Everything seems to be working perfectly now on my UBB6...After a few minor problems, it's pretty much fixed. Heck, I may even just stick with the beta, unless the full version is so beefed you can see allot of differences

If you don't mind, can you throw me on the beta list? If not, that's perfectly alright, it's just until we can get rid of the login problem (Not really a 'problem', more or less just making it an 'option') I'd like something to give my users reason to stick around...And letting them see who they can Role Play with would definately be initive.

There is a lot more bugs then just he name twice thing. If you do not know already borg your previous version of who's online displays your login name and not your publicaly displayed name. And just a suggestion to you. Can you make the who's online show up in all forums?
