Hey I was wondering if a little icon can pop up next to the post title in a forum if thier is pictures present in that post? I got the idea off of a board Honda-tech.com it uses zero forum not UBB but i'm pretty sure some on can write a quick hack for it if its possible. The reason I ask is one of my cousin is opening his photography site next week and wants that option because he can't afford zero forum and has had UBB 5.47 sitting on his desktop for 5 years ever since his anime site closed down and I told him I would install that hacks since I did it for him b4 but i'm not compitent enough to make one yet lol...Thanks alot if you can help me. Last mod he would like is a quick reply option like the new UBB has but he doesn't have money to upgrade and he already bought a lisceanse for the older version and is using all his available money on a dedicated sever so this Site doesn't get shut down for goin over bandwith or space.

How does the icon work? If it's a topic and there's going to be images in the topic starter's post, the easiest thing would be to use a post icon that looks like a camera or something... How are the images linked? Are they uploaded to your site somehow? Hot-linked from other sites? (not recommended and bad form to boot).

Just linked from another site...Why is that a bad form of doing things he doesn't have enough webspace for everyone to upload thier pics and most of them have thier own sites to upload from...http://www.honda-tech.com just click on thier cosmetic forum and you can see the camera next to the topic title if thiers a image inside...The hack should scan the posts for images and if thier is one in a post body excluding the sig. then the icon should popup nexxt to it...He did the camera thing but alot of people never really looked at the post icons.

Hey the other thing I was wondering before I install it is in the advatar hacks can a user upload or link to his own image if he wants to?

It's been years since I've seen that avatar mod, but I think users can upload their own/ link to it

What I meant by 'bad form' is if they hot-link to images from sites they are paying for the bandwidth on. I have a nephew that likes to link images from one forum to another and the original gets stuck with paying the bandwidth bill Most sites have rules against that
