Hmm is this a bug in 5.47e that it allows edit for people who have not originated the topic? I kinda don't understand this hack. Could some1 explain plz.?

He said it prevents people editing with no writing privelages. So that might be editing their own message when their posting abilities have been disabled. I'm not too sure myself.

Its a bug, if a persons posting rights are removed they are still able to edit their own posts.
This hack prevents them from editing their post while their posting permissions are diabled.
