This hack adds icons to each forum in the Ultimate.cgi, you can upload the icons in your Noncgi folder and type their names in the forum icon box in forum settings (CP)

The hack is taken from Scooby's hack for freeware version and added some code to let work with a full version UBB.

And did you use the hack above?

Oh i just find this out with testing btw:
Try not hit "Submit Forum Changes Now" button in the main Forum Settings (by the index of all forums) but submit it only in each forum.

I'd install this, but it would add an average of 30k worth of images to my front page and I don't need worse load times for the 56k'ers.

For sites with less forums it would be best.

I am currently trying to install this hack onto my board and i am experiencing difficultires.
I have it to the point where I have X's showing up.
The script also seems to be messing with my layout as some parts of my board the table have changed colors.
I have seen some of you install this hack with no problem. If you could assist me in any way i would be very appreciative.

Just installed it and it doesn't work: it seems that there may be difficulties because i did install the 'news'layout-mod; so the variable for the picture seems to be 'n' or 'f' (the values for 'normal forum view' or 'news forum layout') ... is anyone able to help me, please?
Tried to use variable16 instead of variable15, didn't work. I also have at the end of the arrayrow-line an: $ThisType-Tag, added $ThisForumIcon, but it did have no effect.

I did de-install the news-hack; the main problem now is that the icon.gif-settings in the controlPanel aren't stored! So no image is found on ultimate.cgi ... any ideas?

Which version UBB do you guys have?
Only thing what i did is inserting the codes above in the hack file and nothing else.

2spawn, i use version 5.45;

as i mentioned above i installed some months ago the 'newsdisplay.cgi'-mod, which made no problems by writing the variable no15 ('n' / 'f') into the forum-settings-files; so i did de-install this hack completely to avoid troubleshooting with the variable no15; i followed your instruction:

the table appears on ultimate.cgi, there's a new field in the forum-settings to enter the grafix but this variable is not saved into the file-settings, so broken image links appear on ultimate.cgi; maybe there's just a little bug in your hack.txt..? some double-pipes, missing a ';' or anything like this?
i tried to install this hack 3 times to avoid forgotten tags/mods but it doesn't work, i regret

Hmmm, i checked the hack again to make sure everything is ok, and i even compair the values with my own ubb and everything look ok to me in the file, but its realy weird

There is some litle bug in this code if you put the names in the Forum Details submit it only there and not on the main Forum Style page, to check it saves your changes.

Yes, I did just submit there the changes as written in the .txt-File; doesn't work :-(

Would it be possible that you just copy and paste all the necessary changes as written in your instruction-file with some lines of the code BEFORE and AFTER the lines which should be modified? Maybe i placed some changes on the wrong place..?

I also controled again to see everything is okey for placements and everything is sameway done in the text file as my Ultimate.cgi and cpanel3.cgi

I dont understand and i bleave you about putting the codes on the right place, and we have same version UBB this should work but it doesnt and i dont understand why...
