Great hack! Works so good that it works TOO well!

I'm running this hack as well as the hack for who posted last in the threads. Works great for normal forums.

But in private forums this hack is preventing the threads from showing who posted last as well. I think it's great that you can't see who posted last in a private forum. But once you've authenticated and entered the private forum, you should be allowed to see who posted last in any given thread.

Anyone seen this? Know of a work around?

This was a very nice hack. Adds "personalization" to the board and definitely is distinguished. Two thumbs up!

Just found another little problem with the hack - can't figure out why it didn't seem to affect anyone else - but it certainly stopped Ultimate.cgi from working til I changed it.

The first call to OpenFile in the hack should have an ampersand in front of it.

Does anyone have instructions to make the same modifications in forumdisplay.cgi so that it displays "last post by" within all the forums as well? I tried to read all the posts at http://www.scriptkeeper.com/ubb/Forum14/HTML/002770.html about it, but it was too confusing to follow. I also don't want to have the "last post by" text link to anything.

Anyone have that working out there?
