Thanks for a great and easy hack!

im running this hack and it seems to work ok, except that the last user posted is only updated when someone creates a new topic. Help!

[Edit] I just needed to add another intance of the lastuser.file updating and it worked. Now, is there a way to turn this (the ultimate.cgi hack) off for the private forums? I see that there is because it's off for this board

I have a question. How does everyone else edit their .cgi and .pl files. I downloaded mine to my computer used wordpad to edit them saved it and the .pl file worked fine but the .cgi file saved to text and won't work if I edit it. So pretty much, how do you guys edit it?

Ok, here is what you do to get it to work for private forums, this is exact instructions just with private forums added:



The original code was written so that it would hide the private forums. Guess the original creator wanted some kind of privacy for the private forums. Heh, i don't so i changed the code and since i see people want to know it as well I'm posting it. Enjoy.

Great hack but in the hacks that you have been posting in this thread you have two
in the main part of the code when it is not needed.

I installed this a long time ago and this hack is good. Great hack. Haha!
