For some reason I looked for an old picture of myself this evening and found out AOL is shutting down their old hometown websites I've had that site >12 years now (I go there at least every 2-3 years )
I had to actually install AOL on my computer to pull the files down It's been a lot of years since that virus has been on here and yep, it wants to worm itself into everything you do online, all media files, email, etc.
I did spend ~1-2 minutes in a chat room - after 13-14 years people are still doing ASL checks
I'm surprised AOL is still around. I can't believe people still use them. It was bad enough when people were using them in the 90s... you'd figure everyone would learn by now.
They blanketed the world with those CD's (wasn't that a joke in one of Stallone's futuristic cop movies?). Handy if you can only get a dial-up account while out of town.
