A simple thing you can do to help prevent spammers from harvesting emails from your forum is to use the "active text" feature to replace the "at" sign with a small .gif image of the "at" sign:

@|<img src="(http://path-to/images/general/default/atsign.gif">

This will not work with the email UBB code unfortunately, but a lot of my users will just put email addresses directly into a post and this will render it unusable by the spam bots.

Thanks. Unfortunately it only works if they type in the email directly in the post. If they use the email function (button) then it doesn't work.
