Can anyone suggest how I can get 'Default Topic View' to work under a number of posts.

At the moment I can set a forum to display topics from the last month - however I would rather limit the default view on a forum to say the last 10/20/30 topics etc.

I have tried without any joy, and am completely lost.

Can anyone assist?

simple. just take out the $activethread requirement (time based) and then your topics per page will alway limit out (assumes you have at least 'limit' number of topics)
