I have seen this on both the UBBCentral site and here.

One problem I have seen is where people post a link to their site with the style. Okay, great you can link to the site and see what it really looks like, even interact with it, but what happens a week or month down the road when you change it?

This is what I have seen. The link no longer represents what the wrapper looks like.

The better option IMHO is to include a jpg (image) file. If you still want to post the link, go for it, but please also post the jpg file for those of us that want to view it sometime down the road and you have either removed or modified the style on your site or worse, your site isn't even running any more. doh

I try to include both a link to the live style and screencaps of what it looks like; though i keep all of my styles on my dev site so it's not like they change wink...

Yeah, like I said, some do it better then others, just a passing observation really.

The one that drove me nuts is when I would click on the "Christmas 1" link and get the infopop2 style. Then I would click on the "Windows XP" link and get the infopop2 style again. Okay, so next... half a dozen styles later you think everyone is just copying the infopop2 style and calling it something else until you realize the link is no longer working.

So now what do those other styles really look like? The only way to find out is to download them and install them.

If the original poster had included a picture file (jpg, gif, etc.) then at least we could know what it looks like w/o having to install it.

Fred
