Database Altered: FORUM_TEASER added to ubbt_FORUMS table

Info: If a forum is tagged as a teaser forum, everyone will see it on the main index.
Users won't be able to view inside unless they have "read" permissions.
They will receive a message stating that they do not have permission to view this forum.

Admin Instructions: When editing a forum, click the checkbox next to "Teaser Forum" and the forum will be listed to all. They will not be able to view inside the forum without proper permissions.

no it doesn't. you can't just copy paste from his readme. you have to take into account the captcha (sp) field as well.

im not even sure how one makes hidden forums anymore!

Teaser forums are included in 7.2 (which is currently in beta)

are hidden forums also standard in 7.2?

hidden forums (as i interpret what you ask) have been standard all along.

you just have to setup the permissions for a particular group or groups to be allowed to read/read-reply/read write.

eg: having an admin and mods only forum would be hidden to all other groups.

ahhhh... all this time, i thought that was the hack.

i guess the mod i had was just to hide the listing of the forum on the homepage, regardless of who has permissions to view it.
