I was able to achieve this with UBBT6 and IIP 5.4 , but UBBT7's ShoutBox seems cannot do this , any solution ?

Yes , but in UBB7 , ShoutBox is only allowed in left or right column , not the Center column.

You could use the IRCChat addon, or the other chat addon, and use a real chat service for your discussions...

IRC is Internet Relay Chat, it's one of the oldest and most established chat protocol's; I made the modification for UBB7 at:

By default it uses my chat server (irc.undergroundnews.com) which allows any users to have and use any channel they wish.

Additionally, it'll try to set the user nickname on the chat server as their forum name (assuming the nickname is available when they connect to the server).
