NOTE:

"Modifying or hacking" the UBB™ is easy once you have the right stuff. Continue reading if your a newbie.

HOW TO START

-Start by finding the hacks you want to use/add. All UBB™ hacks can be found in the database or the mod forums. Please, use the search function before you request help. Thank you.

-Save the hack on your harddrive or keep it open on your browser if it is a text file. Whatever you feel comfortable with.

-Do NOT USE WORDPAD or NOTEPAD to edit the files.
Try Noted , UltraEdit 32 or Cute HTML .

-Backup your files before editing.

-Open the files needed to modify, in one of the text editors above.

-Backup your files LOCALLY and REMOTELY before editing.

-Find the code as it states, then add or replace with what it says.

-If you can NOT find the code in the file, search for PART of it untill you find the EXACT/correct place of code.

-It is a nice idea to make a NON PUBLIC TEST BOARD and hack their first, getting all the features and changes you want before making the changes public.
