Keep getting lots of corrupted tables, errors 127 and 134 (both of which mention "record file crashed" situations)
No matter how many times I repair the tables, it keeps coming back. Tried doing it through SQL as well as with myisamchk -r and -o. Usually works for a few hours, then the same old crap happens again.
Could the DB file size be exceeding the OS limits? If so, we recently pruned tons of posts, but the file sizes aren't dropping. I know this is common in other relational databases. How can I get the file size to shrink on the MYI (and friends) files?
It's driving us up the wall, and out forum has been bouncing up and down for 2 days now. We're about 15,000 users strong, and the minions are getting restless!
Any help is appreciated.
FYI, Josh did our .Threads upgrade, and cristoph from germany came highly recommended for MySQL tuning, so I'm pretty sure our setup SHOULD be stable, as I have lots of trust in the people who helped us. But it's not stable, and I'm pulling my hair out.
