With version 6.1 you have the ability to Edit your post, and change the attachment with your post.<br /><br />We have made a modification here to lift the normal edit time restriction, so that the modification forums allow an unlimited edit time.<br /><br />Please... if there are updates to your hacks... changes to the instructions, bug fixes, whatever, please Edit your original posting.... and reattach the correct file.<br /><br />Then, make a new reply to the thread stating that you have updated the file attached to the first post. (That way the new post indicators will make sure people see it.)<br /><br />If there are incorrect versions of your hacks, please go through and remove them so that the most current/correct one is attached to the first post.<br /><br />I'll be working on this myself (for my posts and others) over the next few weeks.<br /><br />If we can do this, in the long run, it will be easier/less confusing for people to find the most current / correct version of the hacks, and eliminate troubleshooting and questions.<br /><br />Thanks for your help! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /><br />

Yeah I agree and it could be dengerous. Imagin the topic intiator after a week of a topic being active and all of sudden he goes and edit the topic or even erase it than all the replies would not make any sense because the original topic has been edited or errased

Salim - the idea is that the topic starter (who normally is the person who has creatde the mod), updates his (her) post so that you the user does not need to trawl through many posts to find the most recent version.<br /><br />In fact the follow up posts probably make little difference to the mod in most cases, as any problems drawn to the attention of the author will have (hopefully) been corrected.<br /><br />If the origianl poster deletes his post, then all posts following it will also vanish, so please do not worry too much <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
