Thank you - works fine, would be great to be able to set a minimum post number.<br /><br />Question - does the automated title system overwrite the user set title when the post count reaches a certain point?<br /><br />Ian

No, it won't overwrite the user-set title. The only time that would happen is if you changed the default titles. I think there's an option if I remember right to make sure that doesn't happen.<br /><br />Yeah, I haven't forgotten about setting a default "check". It's easy enough to create the variable within config.inc.php and have it passed to the script, but to be honest I haven't quite figured out how to get that to show up in the Edit Config Settings in the Admin CP. Any thoughts on how that works?

Glad it works. I haven't forgotten about this one, I've just been really busy. I'll work on it again soon and have it use a variable set in config.inc.php in order to set the number of posts a person must reach...

How do you force admin's titles to be blue and mod titles to be yellow without having to add html code to their titles from the control panel?

Yes, I agree totally..... If I could specify certain groups that would be another perk for people donating to the site..... Custom titles and it would keep me from having to constantly change titles as well....... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Been a while since I looked at this one. To be honest, I've been so busy with work, etc. that I haven't had much time for anything. Making this work for only certain groups wouldn't be necessarily hard. I haven't totally forgotten about this one, and I'll try to get around to working on it some more. Storm.... <br /><br />I offer certain users the ability to have a custom title.<br /><br />Once I get up and running with 6.2 I'll be adding this.<br /><br />I think it'll be easy to modify based on User group. When I get that figured out, I'll post it. <br /><br />Got some of my more major hacks to get into play first. He he.... since you welcomed me back.... and I was crazy updating stuff last night and haven't slept (yet). <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /><br /><br />I got to this mod quicker than I thought.<br /><br />I've updated this to version 2.0 for threads 6.2 and posted here in the Beta forum. I've added the ability to have the box to edit the title only appear for a certain usergroup.<br /><br />(Be sure to update the user group number if necessary). <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /><br /><br />Got this running live on my new 6.2 site. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> So far so good.<br /><br />

I've been told by several people that it makes them feel special getting special titles so I'm wondering if it will lose it's affect when I install this to let them name themselves.... I updated the User group status flag too... my "supporters" have little blue ribbons by their names.<br /><br />Restricting the panel generator by user group would be a good idea too.... as that could be resource intensive.
