OK, what's the point in having a tablesurround element? All it seems to do is make the outer table borders bigger. Frankly, I can do without it in the styles I create, and I believe that the default stylesheets lose something with them added....
Anyone care to venture an e-pinion on what good .tablesurround is for?

it adds a bit more visual interest, I think, and can look quite good with the right colors, but is easily editable out
