Wanted to pry this from the other thread a little. Lets just post ideas or suggestions here for JustDave to consider.<br /><br />I will start..<br /><br />I would love the ability to post news on the entry page from multiple specified forums. But I would like to put the most current news first in the order rather than have a preset order.<br /><br />The forum title acts as a good topic title so people would know.

So you mean that the forum order changes according to which one has the newest post?

Not to interrupt, but I think dave has mentioned this, but custom pal boxes <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> For example say I had a sponsor that used a small button for an ad, I'd like to have say a "Sponsors" box and insert their image there or whatnot.

you could put it that way. And the other guy with the sponsor thing. Cant you just include a php file and add it to the list. I did that witha page counter already. Was a lot easier than you think.

I've been working pretty diligently on 5.0 this week. One thing that will allow for such "custom" boxes is the fact that this next release is template based. You could create the layout and include what ever you needed. <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

With the way I have had to change IIP to work with the same type of templating used by .threads it should be easier for me to allow for the option of the news/article column to be ordered by last post.
