The attached file has code which adds the ability for users to post "spoiler" information and keep the text hidden from those who do not wish to be spoiled. Those who want to read it simply drag their mouse over the text. The tags are
to open and
to close. The text is within a table, and these modifications include measures to prevent tables going out of whack because of a forgotten [/spoiler] tag or two.
This is one function that goes under the "I can't believe it's not in UBBThreads yet", heh Really should be added to the next release.. several other forums out there support it
Oops.. attaching a newer version, has the ability to edit posts with spoiler tags, and I had forgotten to include the code that closes unclosed spoiler tags..
I have noticed from some feedback that the spoiler tag (like most on any forum) doesn't work so great with Opera. The problem with opera, is that when you highlight it, you still can't see the text. Best short-term solution is to just warn Opera users that they'll have to select, then copy & paste to notepad.
Some javascript might fix it though, add an ondrag or onclick command that changes the text color, maybe, if that's possible.
Hi, is there a chance to get an image for the Spoiler-Tag? I got the UBB.classic-skin-Template and i would be happy if i can get an Spoiler-image. Thanks in advanced.
