ok here is an Idea for the event calendar thing that is being worked on by some folks here. create a table in the w3t_ format that is something like the php-calendar available at source forge. use a system such as the poll system for adding events to the calendar. IE you would create a post that would contain the variables such as date, time subject and description. make the actual viewing of the calendar read only that way only those people that are users (if you have your boards set up that way) can place events. I am sure something like this could easily be integrated using the calendar front for read only any thoughts on this?

So your saying that the way the current calendar works is not the way you would like it to work? Personaly I didn't think there was any problems with it but that's just me... lol Paging Max Fish... []/forum/images/icons/wink.gif[/]

My little calendar pales in comparison to Max's (which I would use in a heartbeat if I could)...but the one thing this one does, is it does not alter the UBBThreads code. It is an addon - I linked it below if you are interested...it is a simplistic calendar, but it does the trick for me, so I figured I would share. []/forum/images/icons/cool.gif[/]
