This limiting of posts within X number of weeks is a cool feature, but does W3T's site need within 2 weeks as opposed to all messages? There are many posts that are worth referencing and to some, especially newcomers, it isn't readibly obvious where the rest of those posts are without knowing the within two weeks stuff. Maybe we could revert back to the way we had it before the feature, the boards seem to run okay speed-wise... It's just a thought. What we need is for the Admin (in this case Scream for this site) to be able to specify a default age of posts for each board. That is what is really needed. Its a terrible image to go into the Information Board and see no posts or just one... that is really bad image, Scream, it is a really bad image. It leads any newcommer to believe development here hardly takes place. The same for other boards, on this site, and in our own... what we really need is for the Administrator to be able to specify the default per board. For example, here I would set the Information board to show all, and the bug boards to show just 2weeks or one month. There are different needs depending on the board. The lack of this possibility is the reason I have not updated yet. Mateo Byler CruceDeCaminos.com

Yup, I'll back you up on that one. On a per-board basis, that'd be my vote as well. []/testimages/icons/smile.gif[/] 6 []/testimages/icons/frown.gif[/] Screamers

I would like this before getting into the templates or what ever comes in next version... I have lived without the templates till this day (even though I really want them), but with the new 5.3 feature a problem that didnt exist for me started to exist... and this would take care of it, and be really cool. So, I know I have voiced this on several threads...(sorry!) but hey! I guess I am trying to see if we agree this should be done right after 5.4, for a quick 5.5 upgrade (even as a quick 4 day forum upgrade as 5.3 was) or if it is not considered urgent, and a long upgrade such as templates that I guess will take at least one month if not 2 or 3 should take priority.
