This observation is very minor in the overall scheme of things. I like the way W3T jumps to new posts in a thread, but has anyone noticed that when you click on NEXT, you are not taken directly to the new post?

Also, the main index page looks very neat and tidy with all the boards and descriptions looking fairly uniform. The post list page, however, is a different story. Depending upon the the way a post is written and the number of replies to each post, the result looks very "cluttered". Does anyone think it would be acceptable to have all posts in the post list in all caps or all lowercase?

Postlist looks pretty neat 'n tidy in collapsed mode, if you ask me... and not bad in expanded either. It is a forum, remember.

Muhammad Chishti
Creative dIRECTOR
[:white]http://www.imcuniverse.com

Scream, the jumping to the latest post is good in theory, but in practice - when there is a new thread the first post is marked as read (with a yellow icon) and therefore you are jumped to the second post in the new thread. You have to go up to read the first post, which sort of defeats the purpose of jumping to the latest if it's skipping over one that you haven't read.

Someone may have already mentioned this, I hope you can get a fix for it.

Darren.
http://www.bullpen.com.au

Ah, there was a post on this, but I wasn't able to figure out the problem. Didn't realize it was a problem with new threads. I think I can get this fixed. Thanks for the info.

-------------------
Scream
WWWThreads Developer

Wow, that was quick.
There might be a thread in the Test board with all posts new to you, you could see if it happens to you as well.

Darren.
http://www.bullpen.com.au

Darren--

My major use of forums in the past has been on Compuserve, with the use of Tapcis.

What that program allows us to do is to find the first post in a thread by the use of CTRL-left arrow.

Then we go back by ctrl-right arrow.

That might solve your issue, if I am reading you correctly. Just a keystroke or two and you can see what the subject is and then get back to the latest message in the thread.

FWIW.

:-Doug.
[]Doug@FootprintsintheWind.com[/]
http://www.FootprintsintheWind.com
