The 50 dollars is basically to have a mysql database created for your off of what they have installed. I like this option partly because I've never installed mysql, and partly because Virtualis is accountable for making sure it's configured and working properly. I've heard of VS clients installing it themselves onto their server space, and I think that's great if they know what they're doing.
