Welcome to the UBBPortal home. I'm really looking forward to working with Bookie and everyone else that's going to participate. The idea of a portal for the best bulletin board system on the planet is big news.

There will finally be a "complete" site building system that won't require any additional applications to run.

It's good to hear that UBB Portal is going to become a reality. And X-industries will be a hit too.

Hahaha, X-Industries has never been in a contest but I think I just got bumped from them by moderating here. I feel like I made the big time being a UBBDev moderator, this is a great community.

I guess I have a use for that second UBB license now.

Yeah, you should be proud of yourself. Everyone else just acts too normal after being a mod.

Ok.. I'm not a noob.. but can someone please explain exactly what this portal is?

Will it be like a *complete* community so to speak? Like built in calendar, chat, forums, news, etc, etc... a basic template that you can completely customize?

If so, then, let me say "It's about damn time!"

I'm going to watch this project every step of the way!

The Portal will be something like a website page connected to the UBB. It will have things like Who's Online, Statistics etc. as well as other features.

Ahh cool...Great to be here. So I suspect the UBB world will be shaken a bit very soon!

I think it will get a more than a few heads turning when we launch this add-on. I know it seems like we're dragging our feet but please be patient, it really is going to happen!

Oooo...The "P" word again. Maybe I'll learn a few tricks along the way and possibly lend a helping hand.

Any more news yet as to when this UBB.portal will be available? And where will it be available from - UBBDev.com?, or is there another site dedicated to info and downloads for the project?

The project seems to be having gone downhill. I don't even think it's being worked on until more coders sign up for this project. :-/

LD, we'll prolly start working on it when 6.4 is out.
