I just realized something this morning as I went to update the Agent on the 3 computers at my house it runs on.

When you download the agent from the intel website, you are now defaulted to the Antrax Project (Think-Anthrax) even though you download the cancer installer. This is more of a notice for the newbies out there. The notice on the Intel site states however that after the anthrax stuff is done, you will be changed over to the cancer project.

.: just a blurb :.

I've changed my profile to just cancer, I'm more concerned about curing Cancer myself, but that's just my opinion

I didn't change anything and all 9 of my machines are doing Anthrax right now. That doesn't seem right.

Xpert... try going into your UD account and check this section >> My Device Manager: Device Profile
Uncheck United Devices Anthrax Research Project if it isn't. Mine automatically changed, to unchecked, a day or 2 ago but there is still one processing on my laptop. (and that one I unchecked manually. Go figure)

I don't think we'd all be so passionate about this project if we thought it was Anthrax when we signed up, the cure for Cancer is the holy grail we're all after, not military research of sorts for the US government (just my opinion from a little island the other side of the Atlantic)

We're in agreement Wando™. Looking at the UBB over at UD I would say a lot of people are in agreement with you™.

I also agree with Wando™. Cancer killed more people than Anthrax, and I have personal experience with it. (in my family)

i agree with wando as well smile

my computers are now all stuck on one work unit of anthrax. i updated my profile on UD so that all the following units should revert back to cancer.

its not that i dont care about anthrax, its just that its not as important as cancer. cancer is more of a threat then anthrax if u ask me.

Well I don't care if I get Anthrax or Cancer, I like the Anthrax projects because there aren't any LRM and ya get heaps of points for them.

Glad to see everyone agrees with me for a change, I've lost an Aunt last year ,an Uncle 8 years ago and my best mates mum two years ago from cancer , I really couldn't give a toss about Anthrax as it's Cancer that is the £*($@^ that is taking my loved ones away from me, I'm sure it's the same for alot of us, and how many people do you know that's died from Anthrax??? exactly! (sorry for the rant, but I think you understand)

LD, it's not 'I'll revert back to cancer if you want'. If you think anthrax research is very important, sure, stick with it. You can also do it just for the points. But I agree with Greg, you shouldn't do it just for the points. You should do it to save lives. And cancer research can save more lives than anthrax research, unless Anthrax disease will strike again (not just in postcards to the president), and much less people will have cancer.

And like I said Anthrax is a small disease compared to Cancer so I will revert back to Cancer after I have finished the Work Unit I am on.
