As our site continues to grow, we continue to look for better organizational structure - easier methods to find what you are looking for and quicker ways for us to cover the needs of the site.

Bad idea, I HATE searching through the large topics for the answer to my question, and numerous times I've asked a question in the thread of the mod I was having trouble with, and then when I didn't get a response a week later, asked the same question in the mod questions forum and got an answer in a matter of 4-5 HOURS.

Yeah thats the bad thing. It's because other Members don't want to support in the thread it's usually the Author and they aren't always on. You'll just have to be patient.

I promise you 9 times out of 10 your question has already been asked... and answered multiple times. If you don't want to take the time to search for an answer already there, we can't help you much then...

Which forum is the best one for "hackish" questions that are not related to specific hacks? New Members, Conversation?

Examples:

How does the UBB keep track of ____ ?
How would I manually change ___ in vars____.cgi?

etc.

New Members is probably the best forum for something like that, tho most of those have been asked as well

Yeah but some aren't and then when they ask it's a long wait. I guess thats just the way it is.

I think there should be a forum description at the top of the Beta & final release forums to instruct the users to post questions in their respective modification thread. There seems to be alot of new or help posts poping up now that there is no qeustions forum.

We do need to work on the descriptions some... but some of those were from users not knowing the difference between "reply" and "start new" <img src="tongue.gif" border="0" alt="" />
