And yours saves bandwidth, his costs even more wink But his still has more features.

I'll give you comments after I see a demo, I'm not gonna install a bandwidth eater in my board wink

just tested it on 6.3. worx ok...
but, still there is no demo. and there will be no demo unless somebody installs my hack and posts here an URL.

2 LK:

why do you think that my QAF costs even more. It can't be true.
Compare:
Full reply page (with sidebars, options, and other stuff)
and form (with only three boxes, and! you can turn them off from CP (so it will be like Greg Hard's hack.)
The main feature of my hack - it's completely customizable).

Infopop's Javascript is large to say the least.
Here's my cut down version of the DoPrompt Javascript function...

Also change all the "DoSmilie"'s to "um"'s in the $smilie_list
code in public common.

then you can remove the DoSmilie JS function.
IP's code size: 3328bytes
My Code size: 923bytes laugh
(that includes the Smilie code change thingy)

maybe I should doc that as a template hack? hmm smile

If it's not quick I'll stick to Greg & LK's version.

2 AllenAyres

i wish i could provide an url to demoboard, but i can't. let me explain the reason...
this hack was specially written for one site, but site was closed, and i have no license for UBB 6.x.x
that's why there will be no demo.

2 all:
you all think only about saving of bandwidth and nobody cares about user comfort.

JTLYK, it's not compliant with 6.3 and 6.2 well - you have to use the new subs Charles made, such as WriteHashToFile, instead of the regular ones, such as open(), etc.
