Well this is really not a hack to UBB but I did not know where else to put it so if it needs to be moved someone please do so

I noticed many of the accessable directories under UBB have a blank index.html page and figured it would be better if it automatly redirected the user back to the UBB system.


Also those of you using some sort of advertising might want to place it there and make the link back to the system static (every little bit helps)

their is another option to this, instead of having Ultimatebb.cgi, you could have it as index.cgi (some servers it works on, others it dosn't, which is why the above is sometimes better). And replace all the Ultimatebb.cgi in the files with nothing.

so instead of loading this:

http://yoursite/forums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum;f=30

it would be:

http://yoursite/forums/?ubb=forum;f=30

The problem with this, on some servers index.cgi is not picked up as the index file, on others it does, my site has been on 2 servers in the last month, and one server it worked, and the other it didn't.
