does anyone else get a problem that whenever you modify your profile you have to choose your flag every time? can it be done so it is like the avatar hack, where unless you change it, it stays where it was?

I had that problem too. But the flag was showing. I added the Code Buttons hack right after that and now I show a broken flag everytime.
the reason that I get the broken images is because for some reasons the image is displaying as <img src="http://www.myurl.net/exchange/flags/Argentina.gif http://www.myurl.net/exchange/flags/Arge...et/excha nge/fl ags/United_States.gifhttp://www.myurl.net/exchange/flags/United_States.gif" alt="myurl.com is from Miami">


I disabled it from my cp and now instead of a dropdown box it shows a text box with the following line in there: http://www.myurl.net/exchange/flags/Arge...change/f lags/A ngola.gifhttp://www.myurl.net/exchange/flags/United_States.gifhttp://www.myurl.net/exchange/flags/United_States.gifhttp://www.myurl.net/exchange/flags/United_States.gif

myurl being my actual url.

the problem seem to happen when you try to change a flag. The you get two or more URL back to back

Thank you! It worked for me. And I had move the flag after "From:" at below. It look more better. Just check the $Author_extra at the ubb_lib_posting.cgi (I forgot the name) and of course, remove both
at the flag cgi file.

Any way to make the Flag a required registration field?

This is my first reply.

I try to install my first hack, the flags of Jigga-Master version 0.9b
but in setting flags show me that I don't have permision for to go inside.
Are there a posible problem with the license, I paid the individual for one year $125.oo
I have ubb version 6.04b

Another point in the instructions one file have the name cp_manage_flags.pl but, the file have this name cp_manage_flag.pl thera are one s in that.

the flags directory is http://www.gobblespot.com/ubb/flags

in the setup where it say...
Flags Path
Give the full path to your flags directory (e.g., /usr/www/ubb/flags)

i put in all the possible paths i can think of but when i go to flags setup, no flags are shown why??

im getting

Unable to open /httpdocs/ubb/flags/country.gif file for writing.
(this happend to all combinations of the actual path that i put in)

happens to all of em, theyre all uploaded aswell but they still dont show up in "Manage Flags"

I mean to really hack a visitor's IP and make an automated choice of flags based on that?

flags setup? Not sure what that is. If you have everything right and no flags are showing, then try...


In the "registration settings" in cp.

1) Go to Primary Settings -> Flag Settings.

Look at the custom field and note the number.

2) Go to Primary Settings -> Registration Settings.

Under "Custom Registration Fields" make sure you have the custom field number turned on for the number you noted in #1.

Everyone who was having the problem with the Flags Manager.. Here is instructions!

1. Get Flags Hack installed.
2. Go to Control Panel
3. Go to Primary Settings >> Flag Settings
4. Enter the path to your flag directory(if you do not know it contact your ISP or give me ftp access so I can find out).
5. You can not use your Flag Manager.


I hope to work on this hack some and get it ready for the finished forum.

Known Issues:
*Have to re-select flag in profile.*
