all of my stars are transparent (as they're gif's I figure, why not). It may take another night or so, a big load just dropped in my lap at work.

well, i fixed #4, had 14 frames instead of 12, so i realised my mistake on that ...

i dont know what the deal is though.. even the new ones i save them as is and uploaded them and they come up with a whiteish background and not even animated on my board? : : i even tried renaming it to a gif and nada.

They're animated gif's with a transparent background; try just saving them as gif's (note that saving them as a bmp then renaming to gif won't preserve the background or animation)

Not a clue; if they're not animating generally it means you're saving them in an improper format (and as you say it's not saving transparent it would back that statement up).

None of them work any more. Is there an archive of these somewhere?

Until my VPS is finished being configured all of my subdomains are down, I have no ETA of when itll be done.

well, the VPS is technically functioning now, I'll see if I can get a temp page up for the graphics subdomain.

All of my "UBB Art" can be found here I likely won't be able to get the subdomains up and ready for a week or so as i'm working on getting all the sites moved over to the VPS, but you're welcome to snag from that url.
