UBB.Developers Forums UBB.classic V6 Mod Questions "Abuse" Button

I'd like to add an "Abuse" button that works along the lines of "Ubb Friend".

This button would be used to notify Admins (moderators too, if possible) with a predetermined email address (or via PM) of inapproprite behavior on a particular thread, and be visible on all thread html output. (I'm assuming ubblibrary_2.pl would be the place to put the button and necessary code).

The info needed would be a link to the offending thread, fields for the sender's name and a message field.

I think much of the code in ubbmisc.cgi can be reused for this.

Anyone up to the challenge?

Ive already seen this hack used on dvd forum somewhere, cant remember now. It had a button, report thhis thread to a moderator.
Once you clicked on the button u enter your user/pass and it sends an email to the admin.
I asked him for the code but he wouldnt give it up!

Cant be too hard to write, id like to see this hack available for all, im willing to help.

I've just made and posted one that works via Private Messages in the V5 Mod Forum.

I hope some additional mods to it will come about.
