I have a play button and stop button on my site to play a mp3.

Its actually on my message board home. However, when u click play and enter into a forum, the sound mp3 stops. Is there a way so it will play all the time, even if u switch pages, (i.e enter forums )? ?? Just until the STOP button is used to stop it?

either play the file in an external player, use frames, or use some type of javascript maybe.

I dunno... just a thought.. anyone else?

Have a popup with the title "Close me to stop the music", and have the music play there. You should also make it so only one of those popups show per visit.

I think the problem lies in that everytime you click a forum, it reloads the header section, so basically it keeps reloading the script, which is why the music stops..

that's why I said you should make it so it only loads once per visit/daqy

Well, it seems that wouldnt make a difference, because even if it only loaded once, then that 1 time it loaded the user couldnt take advantage of it anyways because it doesnt play the music as you manuever around the forums..

Ahh well, I guess I can just load it on my home page, then at least it'll work flawlessly

if it loads once, the next time they go to a page, it won't reload the file. Therefore, it won't reset and stop playing.

Can you have Flash in the banner at all?
