I've seen a couple pages where they have it so that the ubb shows (or appears to show) on their web pages, rather than just the general UBB pages. Can someone please help me with how this is done? I'd love to be able to do this with my squads boards http://www.bdunion.com/temp.htm

Any help you all could give would be greatly appreciated. either post here or e-mail me at [email protected] or icq 23935704

Thanks

I'm not sure about how some users do it, but you can do it by using frames, you would just have to tweak it a lot, you will have to put the frame borders really tight for it to work right, I think the latest version of UBB allows you to do this in it's control panel options, I don't know if thats true, its just a rumour I heard.

I've just taken a look at your site, here is what you should do,
1: set the UBB in a frame, you want an upper frame and a left frame, put the UBB in the right hand frame, the buttons on the left and the header on the top frame. Turn scroll bars off, use a Java aplet in the index.html so the frames will move down with the right scroll bar (this will make the top frame and the buttons frame scroll down with the main frame that the UBB is in. (it hides the fact your using frames.

Now set your background colour of the UBB to the background image you have on your site.

You can get various Java aplets from download.com

You can also add it as header / footer code that includes the ubb between the 2 with these:
header:
< td >

footer:
< / td >

(without the spaces, of course)

You can create headers, side columns on both sides, and footers using this techinique. This is seen on scriptkeeper, ubbhackers (still just header/ footer stuff) and a site of mine in progress: http://www.truckwerks.com/ubbcgi/Ultimate.cgi

Our redesign here will include some of this...
