First let me start by saying I’m sorry if this is a dumb question but I cant find the right words for google to give me the answer. I have a site ( www.mattpoth.net) I want the whole site to be password protected so I setup a folder under the root and locked it down with apache (basic auth). Now if you click the button you get a popup to log in. I would like to make a “pretty” login page with a form so the popup doesn’t come up (I know it won’t work if someone bookmarks a page “in” the site, it will just suck to be them) I’m really not sure where to start looking for something like this. Right now the server only has tomcat loaded but if I need perl, php or anything else I can load it (well try) but I don’t really have any skill writing stuff like that. Thanks for any help Tim

If you had a forum installed you could use the forum authorization for any page that reads the forum cookie... I'm not familiar with plugging into the apache user authentication tho.
