I was just wondering about advertising etc. on sites.

Presumably the advertisers would want to see proof of how many visitors you have a day to your site.

In which case I doubt a standard hit counter would suffice.

I was wondering what you can use to actually prove how many visitors a day you have ????

this really doesn't have...anything...to do with HTML, and you'll get a better/larger response in Chit Chat. So I'll move it there.

However, I can tell you that my host stores the raw data files containing that kind of information on my webroot, where I can download it. However, to get older data I need to pay.

Also, there are hundreds of sites out there that do not require such information. I don't know how good they are...but you should probably look around.
